1SpecialPlace has been a turning point for my child. We were really worried about his speech delay, but the therapists here made everything so simple and engaging. Within a few months, we could see a huge improvement in his communication and confidence. The best part is how they involve parents in the process. Truly grateful for their support!

About Me

Practicing since 2024

Hello! I’m Rachna Saralaya, a Speech-Language Pathologist who believes communication is the foundation of human connection. The ability to express thoughts, emotions, and needs is what allows us to connect meaningfully with the world around us, and this belief inspired me to pursue speech-language pathology as a profession. Since beginning my practice in 2024, I have been deeply motivated by the joy of helping individuals find their voice and communicate with confidence.

I have had the privilege of working with children and adults across diverse communication and swallowing needs. My clinical interests include stuttering, aphasia, dysarthria, dysphagia, and voice disorders. As a singer myself, I have a special interest in vocal health and voice therapy, which also inspired my research on vocal health practices among singers. My therapy approach is empathetic, evidence-based, and personalized, focusing on helping individuals achieve meaningful communication outcomes in their daily lives.

Clinical Expertise

I have a strong interest in voice disorders, neurogenic communication difficulties, swallowing disorders, and fluency-related challenges. My passion for voice and vocal health led me to publish research on “Vocal Health and Related Practices among Namasankeerthanam Singers,” focusing on vocal well-being and preventive care among singers and voice users.

I am passionate about integrating evidence-based practices into speech-language pathology while continuously exploring new approaches that improve communication outcomes. My research interests also include culturally responsive therapy practices and personalized intervention approaches. By combining clinical knowledge, research, and creativity, I aim to provide effective and meaningful online speech therapy in India that supports long-term communication success for individuals across different age groups and backgrounds.

02

Research Areas

My clinical expertise includes assessment and intervention for speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders across pediatric and adult populations. I have experience supporting children with developmental communication needs and adults with neurogenic speech and language disorders, ensuring therapy remains individualized and goal-oriented.

I have a particular interest in stuttering, aphasia, dysarthria, dysphagia, and voice disorders, combining evidence-based strategies with compassionate care. I also specialize in personalized therapy material creation, designing activities and tools based on each individual’s lifestyle, interests, and communication goals. Through online speech therapy in India, I strive to provide accessible and culturally sensitive therapy experiences that empower individuals to communicate confidently and effectively in their everyday environments.

03

Work Experience

Since beginning my clinical practice in 2024, I have worked with individuals across the lifespan, supporting children and adults with speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing difficulties. My experience includes working with neurodiverse individuals and adults requiring rehabilitation for communication and swallowing disorders.

A significant part of my professional journey includes a rewarding volunteer tenure at the Rainbow Centre in Singapore, where I gained valuable exposure to neurodiverse communication needs and individualized intervention approaches. My work focuses on comprehensive assessments, evidence-based intervention, and personalized therapy planning. I strongly believe therapy should never follow a “one-size-fits-all” approach, and I enjoy designing customized therapy materials that make sessions engaging, functional, and meaningful for every individual and family I work with.
