She has worked with premier institutions in India, supporting individuals with fluency issues, voice disorders, neurogenic language impairments, childhood speech delays, autism, and hearing loss. Arpitha’s therapy approach is holistic and evidence-based, combining clinical expertise with emotional sensitivity and caregiver involvement. She believes in empowering clients to communicate confidently and meaningfully. In addition to her clinical work, Arpitha is also active in academics and community programs, mentoring young professionals and promoting inclusive, accessible therapy services.

I am a certified Speech-Language Pathologist and Audiologist with over a decade of experience in assessment, diagnosis, and management of speech, language, hearing, and communication disorders across the lifespan. My work bridges clinical excellence with a mindful, holistic approach to therapy, helping individuals express themselves with confidence and clarity. Having worked at premier institutions across India, I specialize in supporting both children and adults with varied needs—starting with problems related to voice, fluency, and neurogenic language disorders, and extending to childhood speech and language delays, autism spectrum conditions, and hearing loss. My therapy sessions integrate evidence-based practices with emotional intelligence and caregiver empowerment, ensuring clients feel supported every step of the way. Working in the academic field has given me the opportunity to shape individuals with a strong foundation in the field of speech and hearing. I also guide young professionals and contribute to community development projects focusing on inclusive and accessible care. For me, therapy is not just about fixing deficits—it’s about nurturing potential, building resilience, and helping people thrive in their communication journey.

Arpitha’s clinical and research interests span a broad spectrum of speech-language and communication disorders. She has extensive experience in voice therapy, and the treatment of fluency disorders such as stuttering and cluttering, as well as childhood speech and language delays, including speech sound disorders, language development disorders, and Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS). She is skilled in managing aphasia, dysarthria, apraxia of speech, and cognitive-communication disorders, and works closely with cochlear implant users on speech and auditory rehabilitation. Arpitha is proficient in AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) strategies and implementation. Her research explores the impact of mindfulness and emotional intelligence in therapy, parent and caregiver coaching, community inclusion, and teletherapy innovations, particularly the effectiveness of telepractice in speech-language rehabilitation.

Her clinical expertise includes managing speech and language delays in children, and addressing voice and fluency disorders in both adults and children. She is experienced in treating neurogenic communication disorders such as aphasia, dysarthria, and cognitive-communication difficulties, often resulting from stroke or neurological conditions. Arpitha also provides comprehensive care for individuals with hearing loss, including aural rehabilitation to support better listening and speech outcomes. Her work with children on the autism spectrum includes AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) interventions to enhance functional communication. Additionally, Arpitha effectively delivers teletherapy and remote consultations, ensuring accessible and consistent therapy support regardless of location.

Work Experience
Arpitha has held significant academic and administrative roles throughout her career. She served as an Assistant Professor at C.U. Shah Institute of Speech Therapy and Audiology, where she contributed to academic instruction and clinical training. She then took on the dual role of Assistant Professor and OPD Coordinator at Sweekaar Academy of Multi Rehab Sciences, overseeing both teaching responsibilities and outpatient clinical services. Further advancing her leadership experience, Arpitha worked as the Course Coordinator and Head of Department at Mangalore Academy of Professional Studies, where she played a pivotal role in curriculum development, faculty management, and academic mentoring. These positions reflect her commitment to shaping the next generation of speech and hearing professionals while maintaining high standards in education and clinical care.
