At 1SpecialPlace, we believe that real change begins with compassion, courage, and commitment. Every year on 8th March – International Women’s Day, we proudly present the 1SpecialPlace Women’s Award, a heartfelt initiative dedicated to honoring women who have made exceptional contributions to the special needs, disability, inclusion, therapy, education, caregiving, and advocacy space.

These awards are not just recognitions they are stories of resilience, purpose, and impact. Through this annual event, we celebrate women who have turned challenges into change and have worked tirelessly to create a more inclusive and empathetic society.

What Is the 1SpecialPlace Women’s Award?

The 1SpecialPlace Women’s Award is an annual recognition platform that shines a spotlight on women changemakers who are transforming the lives of individuals with special needs and their families.

These women come from diverse backgrounds —

Mothers of children with special needs
Therapists, doctors, psychologists, and special educators
Social entrepreneurs and NGO founders
Advocates for autism, Down syndrome, hearing impairment, learning disabilities, and neurodiversity
Professionals creating inclusive employment, education, and community spaces
