She also holds hands-on expertise in the assessment and rehabilitation of children with neuromuscular conditions.
In addition to her clinical practice, Pooja has served as a Guest Faculty at Banaras Hindu University for the past three years, contributing her expertise to aspiring professionals. She has also presented at national-level clinical case discussions. Her key professional interests include neurodevelopmental disorders and sensory processing and modulation issues in children, areas in which she continues to expand her knowledge and create a meaningful impact.

I am passionate about working with differently-abled children and have dedicated myself to this field for over 12 years. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working in various multidisciplinary clinical settings, multispecialty hospitals, and training institutes. I have gained extensive experience in catering to the needs of children with ASD, ADHD, LD, and other behavioral disorders. Additionally, I have hands-on training in the assessment and rehabilitation of children with neuromuscular conditions.
In addition to my clinical work, I have served as a Guest Faculty at Banaras Hindu University for the past three years, which has been an enriching experience. I’ve also contributed to clinical case presentations at national-level conferences, allowing me to share insights and learn from others in the field.
My professional interests lie in working with neurodevelopmental and sensory processing and modulation disorders in children. I’m deeply committed to understanding the unique needs of each child and creating interventions that help them thrive. Every day, I am inspired by the potential to make a positive impact in the lives of children and families, and I look forward to continuing to learn, grow, and contribute to the field of occupational therapy.

Her research contributions span a range of critical topics in occupational therapy and child development. She has explored sensory problems in children with epilepsy, providing valuable insights into their assessment and management. Her work also examines the effectiveness of therapeutic preschool curricula based on Applied Behavior Analysis, sensory integration, and learning approaches for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. She has studied the impact of combining Applied Behavior, language, and fine motor occupational therapy sessions for children with ASD aged 18 months to 5 years. Additionally, her research includes the incidence and association of body scheme disorders in learning-disabled individuals and the prevalence of work-related musculoskeletal disorders among occupational therapists and physiotherapists.

She has held diverse professional roles that reflect her dedication to supporting individuals with special needs and advancing therapeutic practices. As an Occupational Therapist at Children First, Delhi, she provided specialized interventions for children with developmental challenges. Her work at Chetna, Lucknow, and Sunbeam Autism Centre, Varanasi, further strengthened her expertise in pediatric therapy. Expanding her professional scope, she served as a Research Analyst at Soch, Gurugram, contributing to data-driven insights for social impact. As a Clinical Advisor at Parivartan Special School, Varanasi, she guided therapeutic programs and strategies. Additionally, as Co-Founder and Consultant at Arambh, Varanasi, she has been instrumental in creating inclusive opportunities and fostering holistic development for children.
