I am Amruta Tamboli, an Occupational Therapist driven by a passion for continuous learning and growth. My journey in this field has been shaped by the incredible experiences I’ve had working closely with clients during therapeutic interventions. It was during my internship that I discovered my deep interest in Play and Sensory Integration, which has since become the cornerstone of my professional path.
I feel fortunate to have earned a certification from the University of Southern California, where I trained at the renowned Dr. Ayres Clinic in Torrance under the guidance of leading experts. This experience not only enriched my knowledge but also reinforced my commitment to delivering the highest standards of care.
In my practice, I approach each client with integrity, professionalism, and a sincere dedication to their well-being. I firmly believe in lifelong learning, staying updated with the latest methodologies to ensure my interventions are evidence-based and effective. My holistic approach integrates various methods and frameworks tailored to each individual’s unique needs.

Clinical Expertise
Focus on spectrum disorders, sensory processing and modulation difficulties, learning difficulties, attention and hyperactivity disorders along with feeding difficulties. She is interested in neurobiology to understand neurodiversity better, having undergone the course work under Dr. Kim Barthel.
Expertise in sensory play and leisure activities. Strongly believes that movement and reflex integration enhances the human environment interaction. Interested in using adaptive techniques to increase independence. Dedicated to enhancing parent education and building caregiver confidence. Advocates for a collaborative approach with a multi-professional team for optimal intervention delivery.

Research Areas
I served as a research assistant on a significant project aimed at standardizing the Guide for Monitoring Child Development (GMCD), a developmental screening tool designed for use by community health workers in Pune. This initiative was part of my work with the renowned Ummeed Child Development Center, Mumbai, where I had the privilege of contributing to advancements in early childhood care and developmental support. My role involved data collection, analysis, and refining the tool for culturally relevant application. Through this experience, I strengthened my expertise in early intervention, enabling me to better support children’s growth and developmental milestones within both clinical and community-based settings.

Ms. Amruta brings a wealth of professional experience, having been active in the field since 2007. Over the years, she has contributed her expertise to several esteemed institutions, honing her skills across diverse therapeutic settings. Her career journey includes working at Sunshine Special School, Mumbai, where she supported children with special needs, and at Chetana Rehabilitation Center, Thane, focusing on holistic rehabilitation services. She has also served at JBCN Pan International School, Mumbai, integrating therapy within an academic environment, and at Lighthouse Therapy Center, Mumbai, delivering specialized care. Additionally, she has been part of the Child Guidance Center at Sahyadri Hospitals, Pune, offering multidisciplinary interventions for children and their families.
