About Me
Practicing since 2019
My name is Akanksha Aggarwal, and my philosophy reflects the core principles of occupational therapy: helping individuals participate more independently in meaningful daily activities. I believe in understanding the whole person rather than focusing solely on a diagnosis or isolated skill. Every individual has unique abilities, interests, routines, and environmental needs, so I believe therapy should be personalised accordingly. My approach combines compassion, clinical reasoning, structure, and practical goal setting to create meaningful outcomes. I also value family collaboration, recognising the important role of parents, caregivers, teachers, and professionals in supporting therapeutic strategies beyond sessions. Through consistency and teamwork, I aim to make occupational therapy a natural part of each individual’s journey towards confidence, participation, and independence.

Research Areas
With a Master’s background in Neuroscience, Akansha brings interest in understanding the relationship between neurological processes, development, behaviour, sensory experiences, and functional performance needs. Her interests include sensory processing, attention and cognition, motor development, activities of daily living, participation, and the application of individualised strategies across environments. She is interested in approaches that connect intervention with real-world routines, helping therapeutic goals become relevant beyond the therapy session. Her practice also values collaboration with families, educators, caregivers, and professionals, supporting consistency and carryover across environments. By combining clinical experience with a neuroscience-informed perspective, she aims to strengthen her understanding of occupational therapy interventions and contribute to meaningful and person-centred outcomes for individuals and families.
